Job Description
3D Animation and Graphic Design Internship We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic 3D Animation and Graphic Design Intern to assist in creating high-quality digital assets, scenes, and animations using industry-standard software - specifically 3DInternet, a design application for creating realistic 3D replications of equipment, infrastructure, and environments and processes.
This internship will involve hands on application for cameras and scanning equipment at times, and will also require use of Adobe Creative Cloud software applications along with 3DInternet. Travel will be required to be at various job sites as needed. Time will also be split between our offices in Henrietta, NY, and our headquarters in Victor, NY.
General Responsibilities: - Learn and utilize 3DInternet software to develop realistic and interactive visualizations.
- Create realistic simulations of equipment and procedures, allowing field personnel to practice and learn in a safe, controlled environment.
- Create detailed visualizations and models of electrical infrastructure projects, including electrical products and systems.
- Create simulations for various safety protocols and incident scenarios.
- Collaborate with operations and safety professionals to create 3D scenes and animations for training and project planning purposes.
- Utilize various Adobe products to assist with marketing initiatives including:
- Create infographics and illustrations to visually represent data, project timelines, and industry trends to make marketing materials more engaging and informative.
- Create engaging animations and graphics for marketing materials, including promotional videos, social media content, and presentations.
- Support the design and development of interactive elements for the company's website and social media platforms.
- Support the marketing team in various design-related tasks and projects as needed.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance project outcomes.
Required Competencies/Skills :
- Experience with 3D graphic design and animation software.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and MS Teams.
- Graphic design knowledge and skills for digital applications.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and accurate designs.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Experience producing and editing video content is a plus.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Minimum Requirements: - Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (graphic design, animation, etc.)
- Must have a portfolio of work samples to submit upon application.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new software and technologies, specifically 3DInternet.
- Knowledge of the Architectural, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry is a plus.
Compensation: The minimum and maximum annual rate of pay that O'Connell Electric Company, Inc. believes in good faith to be accurate for this position at the time of this posting is between $17 - $20 per hour.
