Accounts Receivable Specialist (3-5 month contract)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced accounts receivable professional in the Columbus Ohio area for a 3–5-month contract / temporary assignment. This position will primarily focus on cash application dn reconciliation. Pay for this role will range between $21 and $24/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately apply daily cash receipts to customer accounts.
• Process and post payments received via various methods (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards).
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies in cash application.
• Maintain detailed records of all cash transactions.
• Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customer payments.
• Reconcile bank statements with accounts receivable records.
• Prepare and maintain accurate reconciliation reports.
• Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
• Provide insights and recommendations for improving cash application and reconciliation processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all accounts receivable activities.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, with a focus on cash application and reconciliation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
