DescriptionDuties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain the operational facility in the highest level of GMP compliance in accordance with USDA and customer expectations and ensure that all operations are compliant with AmeriQual Safety Standards and OSHA requirementsLead the development, execution and monitoring of the operations strategy in line with the overall operational objectives to achieve performance, quality, and safety improvement and ensure achievement of manufacturing goals.Ensure all company policies are adhered to and ensuring appropriate company disciplinary policies are followed consistently.Provide operations and strategic support for capital projectsMaintain a clean, effective, efficient, orderly and safe plantUtilize available data including OEE, line speed target, and efficiency and process data to continuously improve productivity, uptime and reliability.Continually coach, direct and train employees while monitoring work performance and attitudeQualifications/RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering, management, or related field preferred10+ years in a manufacturing management, preferably in process-oriented operations; 5+ years in a food production environment (ideally in ready-to-eat)Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertiseExcellent communication, collaboration, team building, mentoring and people management skillsAbility to create accountability, lead by example and positively influence othersAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, ability to make decisions, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situationsExperience with USDA, GMP's, SQF, HACCP, OSHA, and other industry related regulationsPhysical requirementsThis job operates in an office environment but may require exposure to manufacturing plant conditions. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Position will frequent the production floor, so operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required. Work is completed in a facility where nuts, fruits and other allergens are present.
