Assembler

As an assembler, you will work with fiber cables, measuring, cutting, and placing them into clips. You will follow blueprints or detailed work instructions to feed each colored wire through connectors accurately. This task requires precision to ensure each wire is placed in the correct order. Once all wires are fed through, you will apply a small drop of epoxy and pull the wires through to create a coating that covers the wires entirely. The assembly is then placed into a curing device to dry the epoxy, followed by a final polishing stage and testing to ensure proper connections. 1st Shift: 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM M-TH 2nd Shift: 3:15 PM - 1:15 AM M-Th Friday OT when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and place fiber cables into clips.
• Follow blueprints or work instructions to assemble wires accurately.
• Apply epoxy and complete the wire coating process.
• Utilize small hand tools, microscopes, or projection scopes as necessary.
• Conduct final polishing and testing of assemblies.

Essential Skills:

• 0-1+ years of manufacturing experience in small parts or medical device assembly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to accurately distinguish colors for proper wire placement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with Guidewire, hand tools, microscope assembly, and wiring.
• Familiarity with clean room assembly, medical assembly, and electronics production.

Work Environment:

Work at a newly renovated facility in Hudson, in a clean room environment without strict dress code restrictions. Business casual attire is appropriate, with the requirement to wear a smock over clothing. Be part of a small, rapidly expanding team helping to shape the processes of a new division.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
