Job Description
An opportunity is available for Autism Specialists and a Special Education Teacher to support students in an elementary school setting. These contract positions are for the current school year and are based in Charles Town, WV.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in grades K-2 or 3-5.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet each students unique needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure a cohesive educational approach.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid West Virginia teaching certification is required; candidates with reciprocal certification are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants can be considered if their WV teaching license is pending.
- Experience working with K-2 or 3-5 age groups is preferred for Autism Specialist roles.
- One opening is specifically for a teacher certified in multiple capacities.
