Job Description

This position is for dedicated Autism Specialists and a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting located in Inwood, WV. The role is a contract position for the current school year (CSY). We have three openings for Autism Specialists and one opening for a Special Education Teacher with multi-cap certification.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid West Virginia teaching certification required; candidates with pending certifications will be considered.
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum.
• Appropriate grade-level experience in K-2 or 3-5 for Autism Specialist roles.
• Multi-cap certification required for the Special Education Teacher opening.
• Strong knowledge of special education strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement specialized instructional plans tailored to students with autism.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Maintain compliance with state and school district special education policies.
• Provide support and guidance to students to enhance academic, social, and behavioral skills.
