Description: The main function of a Solution Architect is to develop and deliver pragmatic business solutions and strategy that fulfill specific short and long-term business objectives and service level agreements. This while balancing important concerns such as adherence to established practices, alignment with enterprise strategy, accountability to Prime's financial objectives, and working in a collaborative team environment. Job Responsibilities: Drive the solution architecture ensuring the outcome meets the true business value by working closely with the Product Owner, Solution Product Owners, architect and product team. Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objective and document all architecture design and analysis work. Lead creation of conceptual and logical specifications for all layers of solution (people, process, technology, and information) through collaboration with business, enterprise, application, security and infrastructure architects Communicate effectively and clearly by crafting, articulating and executing a clear product vision that is consistent with Specialty's short and long term strategy defined by the Product Owner and/or business leadership to drive value to the organization. Develop architectures to include the software, hardware, and communications to support initial requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for Prime IT architectures, and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation of developed architectures and specific to the solution for the platform, integration with other systems and any external interfaces Responsible for collaborating with enterprise architecture to develop enterprise artifacts for reuse by subsequent projects Work across other IT teams to document requirements and support overall new product implementation Lead, influence, mentor and provide feedback to others within the team. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred 10+ years of work experience in IT, including 5 years in software development or application architecture Experience defining a variety of solution types, such as new system builds, legacy enhancements, application rebuild, build vs. buy analysis, integrating COTS software packages, Software as a Service or Platform as a Service as components of the solution Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments Direct experience with Agile Lean Architecture Strong collaborator with business and technical colleagues, adept at building rapport Additional Qualifications/years of experience: 5+ years of service-oriented solution architecture experience working with Applications, Data, Services and API initiatives Experience as a Solution Architecture, Application Architecture and Architecture Patterns Experience with broad technology delivery, including custom development using various development languages; Event Driven Architecture and Mesh Architecture Experience with driving technical planning and solutions for software portfolio, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendations Experience with providing technical leadership, mentoring on software engineering design, development, and frameworks, analyzing alternatives, and presenting technical options to leads and clients Preferred: Experience in the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) and/or Health Care domain Experience working with big data and analytics. Experience with FHIR or NCPDP data standards Experience working with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar Agile Processes Technology: Cloud Architecture - AWS, GCP Agile Architecture, SAFe Event Driven Architecture Microservice Architecture and Practices Security Principles & Implementations APIs (REST/SOAP/GraphQL/WSO2) Modern Web Development: Java, Angular, React, CICD (Jenkins), Test Driven Development Databases: Relational, NoSQL DocumentDB, NoSQL Graph, GCP Docker and Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Kafka VMWare Tanzu / Pivotal Cloud Foundry Saxon Global
