Note:  We are working hybrid with at least 1-2 days per week in the office (Temecula, CA). During onboarding you will likely need to be 3-4 days per week.

What would I do at ASM?

With thousands of hospitals across the world, you would help build, monitor, and maintain infrastructure in Azure for all products and clients. You would write Terraform to automate standing up new services and environments for internal and external use. You would help monitor and ensure the applications are available, fast, and reliable for verification, querying, and reporting in our applications.

About this position

The Azure Cloud Platforms Engineer is responsible for implementing Azure architectures and environments, acting as an advisor to transform on-premise systems to the cloud. This role involves close collaboration with development, existing on-premise IT support, and hands-on implementation of Microsoft Azure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.
• Design and execute automation frameworks for Azure deployments using Terraform and PowerShell.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and existing platforms engineers to design infrastructure and data storage solutions.
• Align solutions with standards and best practices.
• Conduct proof of concepts (POCs) and implement production-ready designs in Azure.
• Perform risk analysis and create mitigation strategies for system design and architecture.
• Contribute to the development of internal best practices and documentation.
• Help to train existing developers and platform engineers with Azure and Terraform.

Required Skills

• Experience with implementation and support of infrastructure services on Azure.
• Strong experience with Terraform
• Experience with Git for source control
• Experience with cloud network connectivity and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Scripting skills in languages such as Terraform and Powershell.
• Knowledge of DevOps concepts and implementation.
• Ability to monitor Azure environments using alerts and management tools.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with Terraform Cloud
• Experience with Azure Policy
• Ability to communicate technical concepts in simple language.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
