The Azure Cloud Security Engineer Sr will be responsible for providing engineering design, analysis, implementation, care & feeding, roadmap development and support for Azure and M365 Security. Qualifications A successful candidate will have the expertise and skills described below. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and 6+ years in cloud security engineering. Practical depth of knowledge in technical design, operational functions, and experience with the full Microsoft Azure M365 suite of products related to security. Experience designing and implementing technical solutions to enhance visibility, alerting capabilities, and reduce risk within Cloud IaaS, PaaS, and M365 environments. Technical breadth of knowledge overall security domains, to include network security (VPN, firewall, encryption, network monitoring, content filtering, wireless security), vulnerability security (scanning, static/dynamic code analysis, patching), endpoint protection (anti-malware/virus, intrusion detection/prevention), server security (web server, database), and cloud security (Azure, AWS). Understands common security concerns, vulnerabilities, and exploitation techniques to think like an attacker and guard against those attack vectors. Proficiency with at least at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to perform API integrations between technology systems. Strong documentation skills, especially with architecture diagrams and tool roadmap development. Preferred SC-200 Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) CISSP / CISM / Security AZ-500 Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate AZ-305 Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Responsibilities Research, design, implement, act as a subject matter expert, and own the full lifecycle of all cloud security solutions within Microsoft Azure & M365 that comply with all applicable security policies and standards Establish and maintain a multi-year information security strategy with a focus on continuous improvement for all Microsoft Azure & M365 products within the organization. Analyzes and makes recommendations to improve cloud security network, system and application architectures Works with IT and both internal and external business partners to ensure that security is factored in the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration process of cloud applications.
