Job Overview:Welcome to Blitz Cafes, where we believe in creating memorable experiences and finding delight in the little things. We are currently seeking a passionate and talented individual to join our team at Happy Sparrow, our kolache bakery and coffee shop. As a team member, you will play a vital role by providing exceptional service to our customers, preparing and serving beverages and baked goods, as well as general cleaning and up keep around the cafe. If you have a love for people, coffee, baking, mornings, and creating delightful moments for others, then this position is perfect for you!Responsibilities:- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffees, teas, and specialty drinks, with a high level of attention to detail- Prepare and create from raw ingredients baked goods, including kolache and other food items, in accordance with our quality and presentation standards- Create and maintain a welcoming and friendly environment for all - Take customer orders and efficiently process payments using our point of sale system- Ensure a high and detailed level of cleanliness and organization in all areas of the cafe- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment for both customers and team members (Food Handlers card is required)- Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed- Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional customer service, while maintaining a fun and effective team culture- Stay updated on current coffee and baking trends, techniques, and ingredients to continuously improve skills and knowledgeRequirements:- Must be 18 years old or over- Previous experience as a baker is preferred, but not requiredAbility to follow baking and edible creation instructions from raw materials with a high level of attention to detail is required- Passion for people, coffee, and baking- Ability to work in a fast-paced small environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail- Excellent communication and customer service skills- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidaysShifts may start as early as 5:00am and end as late as 4:45 pm, never working more than 8 hours in a day unless specifically discussed ahead of time- Must have reliable transportation to and from work- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 poundsBenefits and Compensation:Employee DiscountA kolache and a drink while on shiftHourly Pay plus TipsFlexible schedulingSchedule:Day shifts, approximately 2-8 hours long, 3-5 shifts per weekSome HolidaysSaturday and Sunday Note: Blitz Cafes is an equal opportunity employer.
