Job Title: Bartender Job Summary The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to guests by preparing and serving drinks accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of hospitality. This role ensures the bar is well-stocked, clean, and operating smoothly while creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests. Essential Job Functions Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences. Greet guests promptly, engage in friendly conversation, and provide knowledgeable recommendations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including counters, equipment, and glassware. Monitor guests for signs of intoxication and follow all safety and alcohol service guidelines. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate tabs. Restock bar inventory, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies. Ensure compliance with all state and local alcohol service laws and company policies. Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow. Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally. Perform opening, closing, and side-work duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred. Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and mixology techniques. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills and experience handling cash or POS systems. Must meet the minimum age requirement to serve alcohol based on state laws. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be dependable, professional, and able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
