Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a skilled Behavior Specialist with BCBA credentials to support K-12 students in a full-time, contract role running through the 25/26 school year. This position is based in Barre, VT, serving students at multiple elementary and middle schools within the district. The role requires direct, in-person involvement and offers a dynamic caseload focused on behavioral interventions and support.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • BCBA certification or equivalent behavior specialist credentials.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field preferred; alternatively, a combination of education plus two years of relevant experience is acceptable.
  • Familiarity with state educational requirements and experience working within school-based settings.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students effectively and develop individualized behavioral strategies.

Location:

  • Barre, VT, supporting Barre City Elementary & Middle School as well as Barre Town Middle & Elementary School.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and design behavioral intervention plans for students.
  • Collaborate closely with school staff, families, and other professionals to implement and monitor interventions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Provide training and support to educators and staff regarding behavioral best practices.
