About the Role  

We are seeking an experienced Billing Manager to oversee the billing operations of our pediatric dental and orthodontic practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental billing, particularly in pediatric dental or orthodontic services, and be familiar with insurance claims, patient account management, and billing software. You will play a key role in managing the financial side of patient care, ensuring accuracy in billing, and providing excellent customer service to families regarding their accounts. 

Responsibilities  

• Oversee the entire billing process, from claim submission to payment, including insurance verification, claim follow-ups, and payment posting. 

• Ensure compliance with all insurance guidelines and billing regulations. 

• Train and mentor billing team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. 

• Communicate with patients and families regarding billing inquiries and help them understand their payment responsibilities. 

• Collaborate closely with our clinical team to ensure accurate coding and documentation for insurance claims. 

What We're Looking For 

• Qualifications : 

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dental billing, with a preference for pediatric or orthodontic experience. 

• At least 2 years of experience at a dental practice or DSO with $10M+ in collections. 

• Experience managing a team of 4+ billers. 

• Experience with Medi-Cal Dental billing, including pre-authorization, NOA, CIF, CRA, etc. 

• Strong knowledge of insurance billing, coding, and claims processing. 

• Skills : Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records. 

• Communication : Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain billing processes clearly to patients and families. 

• Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively with both administrative and clinical teams, providing support and leadership when needed.
