Grace Women and TeenHaven.Live are two faith-based non-profits that have partnered together in an esprit de corps to serve this generation. We work heavily with those who are disadvantaged and in need of mentoring, community, and opportunity for growth and development. We have worked domestically as well as world wide. More recently, we have had a heavy emphasis on the Indigenous Reservations within the US. We are two grassroots organizations that are passionate about the people we serve. All of our staff members are Bible College trained, with decades of missionary and ministry experience. Our books heavily overlap and maintain the same accounting principles, which is why we are looking for one person to maintain both organizations.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to support our team in administrative and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, experienced in non-profit accounting principles, and well versed in using QuickBooks Online.

Responsibilities:

• Perform bookkeeping duties such as accounts payable and accounts receivable management
• Prepare weekly financial reports
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting
• Process journal entries and maintain accurate records of books and records
• Support 990 tax preparation efforts by maintaining organized financial documentation
• Collaborate with team members to record transactions to proper programs/accounts with the added support of submitted receipts. In the event that receipts are missing, to track down receipts from the cardholder or vendor.
• Maintain calendars of administrative/accounting reminders, check to make sure payments have been made, checks have been received, and transactions have been posted.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in QuickBooks online
• Strong understanding of non-profit accounting including restricted fees, functional expenses, etc.
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping
• Experience in preparing financial reports
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong typing skills (10 key typing) for efficient data entry
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong communicator

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $ $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 30 per week
