Bookkeeper Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Park Forest, Illinois. The ideal candidate will manage financial transactions, ensure accuracy in bookkeeping processes, and contribute to the overall efficiency of accounting operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills and proficiency in various accounting and spreadsheet tools.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable processes, including reviewing invoices and ensuring timely payments.
• Handle accounts receivable tasks, such as preparing invoices and tracking incoming payments.
• Reconcile financial accounts to maintain accurate records and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries to update financial records.
• Draft thorough correspondence and financial documentation, such as letters and reports.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and maintain detailed spreadsheets for financial analysis.
• Input and organize financial data into accounting systems with precision.
• Collaborate with team members to support general bookkeeping and financial reporting needs.

The salary range for this role is 50K-55K with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial record management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and edit spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with data entry practices and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Ability to draft thorough and precise correspondence and reports.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and external stakeholders.
