Role Description – Brand & Demo Ambassador (Victoria/Vancouver Island)

Tocha Foods is looking for a food-loving, outgoing Brand & Demo Ambassador based on Vancouver Island to represent our brand in local communities. This is a contract, part-time role with flexible hours and regular in-store demos at Quality Foods and Country Grocer locations . The ambassador will play a key role in introducing Tocha to new customers, engaging with shoppers, and sharing our story in a compelling and friendly way.

Key Responsibilities

• Host in-store tastings and product demos at retailers including Quality Foods and Country Grocer .
• Educate shoppers about Tocha sauces—highlighting flavor profiles, ingredients, and usage ideas.
• Create a fun, welcoming atmosphere that encourages trial and repeat purchase.
• Answer customer questions with confidence and enthusiasm.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and visually appealing demo setup.
• Track and report on demo performance, customer feedback, and sales impact.
• Build relationships with store staff and support in-store visibility for Tocha.
• Occasionally represent Tocha at events or local markets.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, reliable, and self-motivated
• Passion for food and an understanding of flavor, ingredients, and home cooking
• Ability to work independently and manage on-site logistics
• Experience with product demos, customer service, retail, or food sales is a strong asset
• Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel to various locations across Vancouver Island
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods during demos
• University Student or Graduate in Marketing a Plus.
