Business Analyst (eCommerce or Tax Systems)

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst contractor to help shape the next phase of their eCommerce operations. This role will focus on documenting and analyzing processes while driving the transition from the current Salesforce–Vertex connector to a modern REST API integration. The right candidate will enjoy working at the intersection of business and technology, ensuring accurate tax calculations and seamless operations that support long-term growth.

• Location: Remote EST/CST Hours
• Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $60-65/hour
• Duration: 3-6 month Contract
• No Visa Sponsorship Available for this role

What You’ll Do:

• Document existing Salesforce–Vertex processes, identify gaps, and map order flow, tax, and reporting requirements.
• Lead workshops and discovery sessions to gather requirements, translating them into clear business documentation and use cases.
• Collaborate with both business and IT stakeholders to align integration needs and ensure clarity across teams.
• Support testing activities by reviewing scenarios, documenting issues, and validating that requirements are met.
• Provide training materials and documentation to help users adopt the new REST API integration smoothly.

What Gets You the Job:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in process documentation roles.
• Strong background in documenting business processes, workflows, and integration requirements.
• Experience supporting system integration projects, ideally in eCommerce or tax systems.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and documentation skills to work across business and IT.
• Familiarity with Salesforce eCommerce or Vertex tax systems is preferred; experience in a B2B manufacturing environment is a plus.
