Position Summary

Monday - Thursday, 40 hours per week, 6:30 am and 2:30 p.m.

This position is responsible for providing high quality food services in the cafeteria, adhering to all mandated health and safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepares food, including packaging of prepared foods, in accordance with health and safety requirements. Assists with estimating daily food preparation amounts. 
• Stocks food, condiments and supplies in the serving area and maintains cleanliness of serving area. 
• Cleans dishes, equipment, food preparation area and serving areas in accordance with health and safety requirements. 
• Assists with serving entrees and on-site catering delivery and set-up.
• Assists customers in a prompt and professional manner. 
• Assists with ordering product and conducting physical inventory to ensure availability of supplies needed. 
• Transports food items, supplies and equipment to other cafeteria as needed. 

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Experience:

• 6 months of previous experience required.

Other Skills/Qualifications :

• Serve Safe Food Handler Training Certification desired. 
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally

Physical Requirements

Work is primarily performed in a standard kitchen/cafeteria environment with exposure to heat from ovens, hot foods and steamers as well as exposure to cleaning chemicals, fumes, equipment and metal objects. Work involves the usage of knives, dicers, mixers, slicers and other sharp objects. Employees may be required to drive a motorized cart to transport materials to various sites within the Corporate campus. Work surfaces may be slippery. Work may involve exposure to moderate noise levels, based upon specific work site and/or equipment operation.
