Carpet Cleaning Technician Job Description

Compensation: Probation period 60 days $17.00 | Pay increase after 60 days to $20.00 if you show you can do the job. Technicians with certifications and 3 or more years of experience will be at different rate based on experience. 

If you have 2-3 years or more of sales experience, additional compensation may be provided based on your skill sets. 

We are seeking to hire a hardworking and dedicated individual with experience or someone who is looking to learn the carpet cleaning trade. We want self starters who want to learn and build a stable and reliable future and grow with our company. We need a leadership mentality that focuses on details and driving results for your clients. We offer in-house training and will pay to get you IIRCR certified on an tenured career track. You will be responsible for driving to the client’s location, assessing the needs of the customer, applying stain or cleaning treatments, and ensuring all work is completed to our high standards. You will also be required to up-sell services and cleaning products.

To ensure success as a carpet cleaning technician, you should have the drive to learn new skills and a desire to have in-depth knowledge of carpet cleaning products and good communication skills. Ultimately, a top-class carpet cleaning technician is friendly and efficient while providing a high-quality service.

Carpet Cleaning Technician Responsibilities:

• Be reliable and ready to show up to work for your shift. 
• Meeting with clients to discuss their cleaning needs.
• Assessing the state of the floors and carpets that need to be cleaned.
• Applying stain and pre-cleaning treatments to the carpets and floors.
• Carefully removing furniture to access all areas that need to be cleaned.
• Cleaning carpets and floors using machine and hand-washing techniques.
• Drying carpets using drying machines.
• Strong attention to detail
• Safe and cautious driver
• Resetting the furniture.
• Up-selling cleaning services and company products.
• Processing payments and maintaining good customer relations.

Carpet Cleaning Technician Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Drivers license, with clean driving record.
• Previous work experience as a carpet cleaning technician is preferred. Will provide training if you are new to the industry.
• Detailed knowledge of cleaning chemicals and machines.
• Friendly and professional demeanor.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ownership of the job.
• Positive and enthusiastic.
• Energetic.
• Team player.
• Good organizational skills.
• Able to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• Available to work mornings and evenings, plus weekends, as needed.
• Full Time position available.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
