With the support of more than 30,000 team members, we promote a forward-thinking philosophy that's built on a foundation of trust, dignity, respect, responsibility and clinical excellence. **Summary:** The Child Life Assistant (CLA) plays a vital role in supporting the Child Life Department by providing both direct and indirect patient care to meet the developmental, emotional, and psychosocial needs of pediatric patients. Working under the supervision of Certified Child Life Specialists (CCLS) and Child Life leadership, the CLA facilitates therapeutic play and normalization activities in various settings, including playrooms, patient rooms, and designated common spaces throughout the children's hospital.
