**Summary:**
The Child Life Assistant (CLA) plays a vital role in supporting the Child Life Department by providing both direct and indirect patient care to meet the developmental, emotional, and psychosocial needs of pediatric patients. Working under the supervision of Certified Child Life Specialists (CCLS) and Child Life leadership, the CLA facilitates therapeutic play and normalization activities in various settings, including playrooms, patient rooms, and designated common spaces throughout the children's hospital. The CLA is responsible for overseeing activity areas, planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, and supporting special events and holiday celebrations.
