Role Summary

Rivian is looking for a top-talented Collision training instructor to join our L&D team. The instructor will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of Collision Repair Training for the 3 rd Party Certified Collision Repair Network. This role will require high levels of initiative, independent judgment, and cross-team collaborative capability. Able to lead teams to creative solutions and develop new training programs in a compressed timeline. Our instructor will be responsible for delivering product training as well as supporting updates to the curriculum.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a world-class training team that will develop online, virtual, and instructor-led training for Rivian’s Certified Collision Network
  • Engage and educate technicians that will perform service and collision repair functions on Rivian vehicles.
  • Work alongside the larger Training Organization at Rivian to create industry-leading training.
  • Provide live Virtual Training sessions for technicians in a remote environment.
  • Interact with the Training Development Team as a collision subject matter expert.
  • Work directly with Service Engineering to understand training topics needed for Rivian vehicle repairs.
  • Work with external, third-party training providers to provide support as a Rivian subject matter expert.
  • Develop new and creative ways to deliver training content.
  • Manage the operations of the regional training hub including, but not limited to, training schedule, inventory maintenance, facilities management, daily operations, training equipment, tooling, and vehicle maintenance to the highest standards, keeping a well-organized and clean training area, etc.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience with demonstrated leadership in an automotive technical training environment.
  • A genuine fascination for education and a commitment to global change
  • A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision.
  • Strong familiarity with the entire process of developing a training course that includes everything from curriculum development to delivering to technicians.
  • Collaborate with Instructional Designers and Interactive Media Developers for course development.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving service training on complex subjects.
  • Open to travel to provide training throughout North America – 50%+
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
  • Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Able to work efficiently under a high amount of work/stress.
