Job Description

Job Description

TRC is partnering with a company that is embarking on a major capital expansion project to enhance/automate production and modernize facilities. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of this multi-phase capital project, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to defined safety and quality standards. This role requires a strategic, hands-on leader who can coordinate cross-functional teams, manage external contractors and engineering partners, and drive accountability across all project stages — from design and procurement to construction and startup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of a $300M capital expansion project, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and execution oversight.
  • Develop and manage the Master Project Plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives, financial targets, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, EHS, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain) to ensure project deliverables support long-term operational success.
  • Manage all third-party contractors, EPC firms, and suppliers; oversee bidding, contract negotiations, and performance management.
  • Monitor project progress and financial performance; prepare regular updates and presentations for executive leadership and steering committees.
  • Implement robust project controls, including change management, cost tracking, and schedule adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead commissioning, validation, and handover activities to ensure a seamless transition to operations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks proactively to minimize impact on cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record leading large-scale CAPEX or plant expansion projects ($100M+) in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design, construction management, and project controls principles.
