David Weekley Homes is looking for enthusiastic and organized people to join our Orlando Team as Construction Superintendents (or Builders in DWH lingo) managing the building process of new construction homes in our communities.
Job Responsibilities:
* The planning, scheduling, and coordination of quality built homes from development through final construction.
* Oversee the scheduling, delivery and use of materials on job sites.
* Schedule and manage subcontractors. Oversee the quality of construction, worker productivity and compliance with building/safety codes.
* Maintain safe, clean and compliant job sites.
* Track & control construction costs against the budget in order to avoid cost overruns.
* Conduct Home Buyer Meetings with Customers.
Job Requirements:
* Prior construction management experience or a construction management degree is a plus
* Should be able to build rapport and maintain customer satisfaction during the buying/building process
* Must possess the ability to supervise effectively at all levels & with a variety of personalities
* Manage time effectively, multi-task & prioritize in order to meet established goals & deadlines
* Computer proficiency required
* Decisiveness and mental flexibility with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Can analyze and resolve problems
* Knowledge of construction practices and terminology with the ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents preferred
* Attention to detail and persistence in follow-up with a strong sense of urgency
