Job Description

Our client, a digital marketing agency, is seeking a Content Writer for a 6-month contract with potential to extend. This agency specializes in content marketing for B2B technology companies and produces blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, and website copy. The content team works with clients in software, cybersecurity, and cloud computing industries.

The Content Writer will work remotely with flexibility to manage their own schedule while meeting weekly content deadlines. This role requires someone who can research technical topics, conduct subject matter expert interviews, and produce clear, engaging content that drives results. Writers who perform well often transition to full-time positions or receive contract renewals.

Responsibilities

  • Write 8-12 blog posts per month ranging from 800-2000 words on assigned topics
  • Research industry trends, technical concepts, and client-specific subject matter
  • Conduct interviews with client subject matter experts to gather insights
  • Optimize content for SEO including keyword integration and meta descriptions
  • Revise drafts based on feedback from editors and clients
  • Meet weekly deadlines and manage editorial calendar commitments
  • Adapt writing style and tone to match different client brand voices
  • Collaborate with designers and strategists on content assets
  • Track content performance metrics and adjust approach based on results

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of professional content writing or copywriting experience
  • Portfolio demonstrating B2B technology writing samples
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Strong research skills and comfort learning new industries quickly
  • Excellent grammar, editing, and proofreading abilities
  • Experience with SEO best practices and content optimization
  • Self-directed with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and project management tools
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field preferred
