Cost Accountant

Position Overview
The Financial Cost Accountant is responsible for overseeing and analyzing cost data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of manufacturing costs, and providing insights to improve cost efficiency and profitability. This role plays a critical part in the financial decision-making process and supports the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Prepare and maintain cost accounting system and procedures.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory analysis to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing cost data and projections.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for management, highlighting key cost trends and insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or CPA is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
