Job Description
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with proven experience in a standard cost environment, who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is passionate about driving financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for products and services.
Monitor cost variances and provide actionable insights to reduce discrepancies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost inputs and reporting.
Perform monthly and quarterly cost roll-ups and updates based on material, labor, and overhead changes.
Support inventory valuation and reconciliation, including cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
Prepare cost analysis reports to support budgeting, forecasting, and pricing strategies.
Assist in cost modeling for new products and strategic initiatives.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Participate in audits and provide documentation related to cost accounting processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience in a standard cost environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing or production processes and cost drivers.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
Knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting standards.
