Job Description
We are looking for a motivated, positive and energetic individual who is looking for a part-time position as a dental assistant in Sparta, NJ. Currently, we have a team of two general dentists and one full-time receptionist. No previous experience or qualifications are necessary other than a high school diploma. Instead, we offer training and mentorship on the job with the potential for expanded opportunities and duties. In return, we expect professionalism, a strong work ethic, a sense of responsibility and maturity, a desire to learn, and an optimistic personality that would fit into our synergistic approach to patient care. Though not a requirement, we encourage obtaining an x-ray certification within the first 6 months of employment.
General responsibilities will include set up and clean up of operatories, chairside assistance to the dentists, sterilization of instruments, and taking x-rays if and once certified. Duties may extend to the front desk, including checking in patients and taking phone calls whenever needed. Our current hours of operation are Mondays through Thursdays from 9AM to 6PM.
