DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results‐driven Director of Business Development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead the development and execution of strategic business initiatives to drive company growth. This role requires a strong understanding of market trends, customer needs, and the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. As the Director of Business Development, you will work closely with senior leadership to drive revenue generation, partnership strategies, and market expansion. The position reports directly to the Vice President and will collaborate with individuals and departments across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities include: Develop and implement business development strategies to increase market share and revenue. Identify new business opportunities, markets, and potential partnerships to foster company growth. Lead competitive analysis and market research to assess new business opportunities. Build and nurture relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to maximize long‐term business growth. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to generate leads and convert them into profitable relationships. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and partnership agreements with external stakeholders. Promote an environment of cooperation and accountability among all departments of the company. Represent WCC in the marketplace with professionalism and integrity.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Excellent communication and sales skills and ability to interact professionally with partners, vendors, and all levels of employees and leadership. In‐depth knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices. Ability to work in a fast‐paced, goal‐oriented environment. Strong leadership skills and experience in managing cross‐functional teams. Ability to build and manage relationships with potential investors, partners, and key industry influencers. Exceptional personal discipline and time management. Adaptability to new processes and systems. Proficiency with computer applications such as Outlook and Excel.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Extensive Sales and Marketing experience in Consumer Finance. Proven performance in a management and decision‐making role. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. What’s the expected pay for this role? $70,000 to $150,000 per year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
