Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Remote Django Web Developer for a 6-month contract, with the potential for full-time employment, to join one of our Industrial Equipment Manufacturing clients specializing in fiber molding. The client is developing a web portal called Motuverse, designed to host data visualizations and interface tools for both internal and external customers to monitor over 40 Thermoforming machines across four rapidly expanding plants. Motuverse focuses on collecting and analyzing field data to optimize machine performance, proactively maintain equipment, and provide actionable recommendations to customers. The application is built using the Python Django framework and primarily utilizes Plotly Dash and Matplotlib for visualizations, with data retrieved from a FastAPI application. We are looking for an experienced web developer to enhance this application by creating additional data visualizations and features. The developer will report directly to the product manager, collaborating closely to iteratively design, test, and deploy the application. Regular SCRUM standup meetings via MS Teams (3-5 times per week) and ad-hoc meetings as needed will be held. Additionally, the contractor is required to provide daily reports via Microsoft OneNote detailing work accomplished, learnings, and obstacles.

Required Skills & Experience 2-4 years of experience with Python Django web applications based on customer and management requests.
2-4 years of experience developing/creating data visualizations and reports using Python libraries like Plotly Dash and Matplotlib.
Experience with Unit Testing using PyTest.
Experience developing and maintaining APIs using FastAPI, pulling data from SQL databases, and utilizing Redis for caching.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience Experience with Poetry for package management.
Experience with Azure Web Services.
