Overview Dog Sitter – The Comforted Canine (San Francisco metro area). This is a flexible, self-employed, contract opportunity. Apply to join the team and start contracting immediately. The role offers flexible hours and service areas. You set your own schedule and availability. Responsibilities Visit dogs in clients' homes for drop-in visits (30, 45, or 60 minutes) or dog walks (30, 60, or 90 minutes), including overnight stays as needed. Meet clients and their dogs for a pre-service meet and greet to understand routines and care requirements. Follow the client’s care directions for the dog and home, socialize the dog, and leave the home in good condition. Provide daily updates and photos to clients via the company app. Engage in light housekeeping tasks as appropriate (e.g., watering plants, collecting mail, taking out trash). Communicate contingencies for emergencies and ensure client schedules and keys are tracked. What We’re Looking For (Qualifications) At least 18 years old Experience caring for dogs (professional experience is a plus but not required) Physical ability to walk, run, push, pull, bend, and reach for extended periods Ability to handle dogs of all sizes Smartphone with internet access, texting, and camera capabilities Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide references Compassion, patience, reliability, and organizational skills Ability to manage client schedules and keys and respond in emergencies Willingness to work during peak times, especially holidays Certification in pet first aid/CPR or experience administering medications is a plus About the Opportunity This is a flexible, self-employed role (not a W2 employee) suitable for part-timers, people with unconventional schedules, or anyone seeking a meaningful part-time侧 hustle in pet care.
