This position performs various overhaul, rework, repair, and associated operations on aircraft equipment and components in both standard and non-standard environments to maintain flow of work. You will assemble fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations. You will test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. You will use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications. You will identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels; repairs as necessary. You will conduct inspection of incoming assemblies/components in accordance with established procedures and technical data. You will be responsible for performing complete operation checkouts, modifications, disassembly, repairs, reassembly, test calibrations, diagnoses, and correction of problems. You will follow repair and return processes to ensure high quality and short cycle time of repair and return. You will set up necessary repair and test facilities. You may be required to complete an apprenticeship or training. Qualifications include typically requiring HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline. Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee). This position is for 1st shift, Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 3:30PM with overtime available on a business need basis. The role is onsite and considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines, subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA regulations.
