Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager

Location: Lakeland, Florida

Compensation: $50.00 per hour (40–50 hours per week)

Position Overview:

An immediate need exists for an experienced and credentialed Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager in Winter haven, FL on a commercial construction project. The selected candidate will work on behalf of the trade contractor to ensure that all site activities meet or exceed environmental, health, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance for the project
• Conduct documented daily EHS inspections
• Deliver site-specific project EHS orientations
• Assist with coordinating crane activities
• Participate in the Daily Hazard Analysis process
• Investigate incidents to determine root cause and develop corrective and preventative actions
• Collaborate with project leadership teams to facilitate an injury-free workplace
• Collect and analyze leading and lagging indicators to identify trends and implement corrective actions
• Review EHS plans and assist with development as needed
• Ensure contractors are adhering to their EHS plans
• Confirm that craft workers are appropriately trained for their tasks
• Partner with trade contractor EHS professionals and manage the project safety leadership team
• Deliver various EHS training modules
• Assist in managing a positive reinforcement program

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of EHS experience specializing in construction
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
• BS/MS in a related field
• OSHA 500/510
• ASP, GSP, CSP, CHST, or STSC
