Environmental Compliance

Vision: 10,000% compliance = 100% compliance x 100% of the time

Contract Position : 20 hours per week guaranteed

Scope: All businesses and activities (e.g., project evaluation – framing and execution; operations; reporting and response; incentives; financing; commercial support; due diligence; etc.) and all areas with environmental impacts (federal, state, local)

Role(s): Individual contributor

· Environmental SME who “owns” the environmental health of the company and leads/does the achievement of the vision (d2d compliance, recordkeeping, reporting, advising)

· Achieves vision in compliance activities and evaluation/mitigation of risk

· Has “right” tools, measures, processes to achieve vision

· SME of all applicable areas of law and developments (has or can find)

· Evaluation of other outside resources and SMEs

Responsibilities:

General

· Accurate, clear, timely, and value-added communicator internally and externally

· Have available or quickly find cost effective internal and external resources to achieve Vision

· Being “in-demand” by internal customers as a trusted SME, problem solver (vs problem finder), and viewed as “help”

· Fulfills the vision and encourages others to do so

Specific

1. Day to Day Environmental Compliance

a. Achieve the Vision (10,000% Compliance)

b. Right Tools and Resources

c. Be welcomed as “help” by internal customers by delivering positive results in a positive manner

d. Complete Environmental Reporting and Recordkeeping Obligations – internal and external

i. Benchmark/ Gensuite Software

ii. HazMax (as needed)

2. Environmental Training and Audit Assistance

a. Assist with quarterly audits; do other audits/assessments as beneficial

3. Projects

a. Advise and direct on relative risks, mitigations, and expectations to achieve vision; Use other SMEs as needed

4. Emergency Response

a. Work with Operations to minimize likelihood and have appropriate plans and training in-place

b. Keep on-site if practical and protect people, the environment, and our facility (in that order)

c. Assist Sr Director as required

d. DO Environmental reporting and response as required

e. DO (help our ER OSRO) oversee any dirt or water remediation
