Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
• Counsel clients on estate planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure asset protection.
• Handle probate and trust administration, including court filings, accountings, and compliance with legal requirements.
• Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans.
• Stay up-to-date with federal and state tax laws, including estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes.
• Represent clients in estate and trust litigation, as needed.
• Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active state bar membership.
• 3-5 years of experience in estate planning, trusts, and probate law.
• Strong understanding of estate tax laws and experience in tax-related estate planning is preferred.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• LL.M. in Taxation or significant coursework in tax law.
• Experience with high-net-worth clients and complex estate planning strategies.
