About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Finance to oversee a range of financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the district's accounting, accounts payable, cash management, financial reporting, and payroll functions. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred. Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Governmental Accounting Standards, state requirements, spreadsheet programs, and accounting software is essential. The Executive Director of Finance will also be involved in assisting the Chief Financial Officer in all aspects of the financial operations of the school system. Applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience in auditing, governmental accounting, or a related field, and at least two years of supervisory experience. The role is pivotal in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of the school system, and the ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to lead and manage a team. The Executive Director of Finance will work closely with the CFO and other stakeholders, so strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. A proactive and problem-solving approach to financial management is also highly valued.
