Job Title: School Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Cerritos, CA
Pay Rate: $40-45 an hour
Overview: We are hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support student health and wellness in a school setting in Cerritos, CA. This role is ideal for a compassionate RN who enjoys working with children and adolescents in an educational environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to students including first aid, chronic condition management, and emergency response
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and school protocols
Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records
Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student health plans
Educate students and staff on health topics and preventive care
Monitor communicable diseases and support public health initiatives
Qualifications:
Active California RN license
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (school or pediatric experience preferred)
CPR and First Aid certification
Strong communication and organizational skills
Experience with electronic health records preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule:
Weekdays during school hours
Occasional after-school or evening events as needed
