Job description:
Provide the customer with photogrammetry support, to include advanced expertise in Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) processing and analysis, the generation of point clouds from Electro-Optical (EO) imagery, and the co-registration of multi-source datasets to provide a geodetically accurate 3D dataset.
Duties:
Develop processes to assemble multi-source 3D remote reconnaissance packages for geodetic survey missions leveraging existing data and services where possible, refine and automate package production process based on feedback, and supervise Junior contractor analyst(s) in remote reconnaissance package production.
• Advise customer leadership and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on photogrammetric capabilities, including LiDAR processing and analysis, and the generation of pointclouds from EO imagery.
• Coordinate with Senior GEOINT Officers, Requirements Manager, Mission Managers, Tech Team, and Team Leads as needed to solicit input on requirements for pre-deployment planning and onsite reconnaissance based on Intelligence Mission Data Plan (IMDP) survey types
• Provide a statistical analysis of package data quality.
• Solicit post-deployment feedback on package usability from the Geodetic Surveys Requirements Manager, Mission Manager, Tech Team, and Team Leads, and refine the process as needed.
• Evaluate emerging data, services, and sensors for inclusion in the process
• Create or provide revisions to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), geodetic standards, and other documentation related to process development, standardization, or implementation.
• Brief progress weekly at customer Staff Meeting, during Division Updates to customer, and in other forums as requested.
• Identify additional data sources or optimization methods for Geodetic Surveys processes and procedures using Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR), Electro-optical (EO) point clouds, and photogrammetric methods, and assist with integration efforts.
• Ensure accessibility of data from geographically separated branches, and by team leads in the field.
• Educate Geodetic Surveys personnel on the remote reconnaissance package development process and its strengths and limitations, and demonstrate capabilities as requested
• Assist in the development of photogrammetric training materials relevant to customer processes and procedures.
• Coordinate with the customer Requirements Manager and Mission Manager to establish and track progress on yearly goals for remote reconnaissance package production and manage junior-level contractor photogrammetrists' production efforts.
