Job Title: Financial Analyst – Product Development (California)

Location: Newark California (Remote not available; local candidates only)
Type: 2 Months Contract (Possible Extension)

About the Role:
Join our Product Development Finance team, a key part of our Product Development department, where finance meets innovation. The team partners cross-functionally with Supply Chain and Accounting to evaluate business cases for new product designs and supplier investments. You will play a crucial role in identifying what it takes to move a product from concept to development, providing financial insights that guide strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product Development, Supply Chain, and Accounting to support financial planning for new product initiatives.
• Build and maintain robust Excel financial models for business case scenarios, including NPD (New Product Development) and IRR (Internal Rate of Return) calculations.
• Analyze engineering and automotive development timelines to inform financial planning.
• Track and monitor project milestones, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making on product investments.
• Assist in preparing presentations and reports for leadership and stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience: 2–3 years in finance, product development finance, or related analytical roles.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Location: Must be local to California.
• Skills & Expertise:
• 1. Strong Excel modeling skills (minimum 2 years experience).
  2. Experience in forecasting and building business case scenarios, including NPD or IRR calculations (minimum 2 years).
  3. Understanding of engineering or automotive development timelines from concept to production (minimum 2 years).
• Performance Metrics: Successful candidates are measured on meeting deadlines, accuracy, and quality of work.
