Job Description

Seeking a Freight Broker for a contract to hire position for our client in the Gainesville, GA area. This is Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with one Saturday out of the month. Pay $17 to 19/hour DOE.

As a Freight Broker you will play a crucial role in connecting shippers with carriers to facilitate the transportation of goods. You will be responsible for managing relationships with both shippers and carriers, negotiating rates, overseeing logistics, and resolving any issues that arise during the shipping process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Connect Shippers and Carriers: Facilitate the matching of shippers with appropriate carriers to ensure the efficient transportation of goods.
• Negotiate Rates: Engage in rate negotiations with carriers to secure the best possible pricing and service terms for shippers.
• Manage Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with both shippers and carriers to foster long-term partnerships.
• Handle Logistics: Oversee the logistics of shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while managing any changes or issues that may arise.
• Resolve Issues: Address and resolve any challenges or disruptions in the shipping process, ensuring minimal impact on clients and carriers.
• Multi-tasking: Efficiently manage multiple shipments and relationships simultaneously while maintaining high standards of service.
