Commercial Estimator

Company: Trimerge Construction Group Location: Greenville, AL (Projects located throughout
the US)

Job Title: Estimator (Industrial Flooring and Commercial Renovations)

Location: Greenville, AL (Hybrid In-Office/Remote)

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 (Based on Experience)

Trimerge Construction Group LLC is a leading contractor dedicated to delivering high-quality commercial and industrial renovation projects across the United States. Our expertise spans selective demolition, flooring, carpentry, metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and high-end finishes. We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Estimator to join our team and contribute to the accuracy and success of our growing renovations department.

Key Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of direct commercial construction estimating experience is required.
• Skills: Proven ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, specifications, and plans.
• Location: Ability to work from our office in Greenville, AL with a remote/hybrid schedule.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)

The Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive cost analyses to support our commercial flooring and renovation projects. Your core duties will include:

• Project Cost Estimation | Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and time needed for construction projects including metal framing, drywall, painting, acoustical ceilings, demolition, utilizing project take-off software and historical data.
• Bid Preparation | Compile detailed and competitive bids based on the cost estimates, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for and align with client expectations.
• Plan and Specification Review | Thoroughly review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements, identifying any potential challenges or discrepancies.
• Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination | Solicit and evaluate bids from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring their proposals are competitive and align with project specifications and budget.
• Cost Analysis and Value Engineering | Conduct cost analysis to identify areas for potential savings and propose value engineering solutions to optimize project cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
• Client Communication | Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to discuss project scope, budget, and any changes or updates to the estimates.
• Risk Assessment | Identify potential risks and challenges in the project and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring estimates account for unforeseen circumstances.
• Collaboration | Work closely with general contractors and project managers to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines, facilitating a smooth transition from planning to execution.
