The GC Assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks that require a high level of attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. This position will be supporting our Results Reporting team. The schedule for this position will be: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm eastern time zone. Please note: candidates can be located anywhere in the US, however, must be able to work eastern time zone. Responsibilities Work with the Genetic Counseling team to manage results to be reported to patients through an innovative approach to providing genetic testing results Responsible for obtaining and distributing results to genetic counselors and ensuring that all results are distributed daily for reporting to patients Contact clients to obtain pertinent demographic information Communicate with clients regarding patients who genetic counselors were unable to reach Responsible for performing administrative duties such as data entry, database/log maintenance, filing, and faxing of reports Requirements Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred Min 1 year experience in the healthcare industry such as a hospital or physician's office required with Associate's Degree. No previous experience required with Bachelors degree 2-3 years' experience working in a laboratory or clinical genetics setting highly preferred Familiarity with genetic concepts Experience with Excel required Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond effectively Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly Strong project management skills Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others and work cooperatively and effectively to set goals, resolve problems and make recommendations Application Window: 7/11/2025 Pay Range: $25.75 - $31.25/hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
