We're joining as the second Core Dev team working on the OP Stack to ensure it's a public good available to everyone; and contributing a portion of sequencer revenue to funding public goods. We're looking for a Base Grants Manager who will help us effectively allocate funding to the Base ecosystem. You'll be responsible for scaling and operationalising all grant programs at Base and managing the entire gThey rants lifecycle. What you'll be doing (ie. job duties): Define the overall Base grant and builder funding strategy to effectively support builders Design and implement grant programs for specific profiles (e.g. builders, creators, community organisers) Establish and operationalise scalable internal processes for identifying, evaluating, funding and monitoring grants Review and evaluate grant applications Proactively seek out new grant opportunities and strategic investments Collaborate with cross functional teams (legal, finance, ecosystem, marketing, global) Manage partnerships and vendors related to grants Be active in the Base community and manage relationships with grant applicants and recipients What we look for in you (ie. job requirements): At least 5 years in a fast paced finance-related role (e.g. crypto/tech, investment banking, venture capital) Operational experience in crypto-focussed investment analysis, portfolio management or grants Deep and up-to-date knowledge of the crypto ecosystem (particularly Base & Ethereum) Knowledge of existing grant programs and what has worked well vs not Exceptional detail-oriented operational, project management and organizational skills Strong technical skills and financial acumen - ability to use spreadsheets and project management tools Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build effective cross-functional relationships Excellent written and verbal communication skills A relentless, growth-oriented self-starter Nice to haves Experience creating and scaling grant programs Coding experience (SQL or Python)
