MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or
GED.
2. Four years full-time, wage-earning experience in the operation,
maintenance, or repair of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning
(HVAC) and refrigeration systems and equipment.

an associate's degree in HVAC or Refrigeration from a college or
university accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation
(CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and two
years full-time, wage-earning experience in the operations and
maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems and equipment
** or **
completion of a program in HVAC or Refrigeration from a trade or
technical school accredited by CHEA or USDE and three years full-time,
wage-earning experience in the operation and maintenance of
HVAC and refrigeration systems and equipment, or by the National
Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)
** or **
completion of a program in HVAC or Refrigeration from a U.S Military
Technical training school and three years full-time, wage-earning
experience in the operation and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration
systems and equipment.
3. Experience in the installation of HVAC or refrigeration preferred.
4. Experience in the supervision of offenders preferred.
5. Current Environmental Protection Agency approved Universal
Refrigerant Containment Certification.
Must maintain valid license(s) for continued employment in position.
**The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) will
be $4,726.63.**
The following Military Occupational Specialty codes are generally
applicable to this position. Applicants must fully complete the

**Maintenance Supervisor positions are eligible for a $5,000 Recruiting
Bonus. In order to receive the bonus, the employee must be full-time
and newly hired or scheduled to graduate from the Academy on or after
04/27/18.**
