MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

The House Manager is responsible for oversight of job performance, guidance and direct supervision of all facility Staff on Duty, Night Staff, and Recovery Coaches. She/he is responsible for monitoring the safety and security of the facility, ensuring a therapeutic treatment environment, encouraging consumer participation in assigned treatment services and intervening in consumer crises.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assign tasks, provide instructions and guidelines, observe performance and review work of all assigned tasks.
  2. Act as Manager on Duty during assigned shift.
  3. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all HRA finger imaging requirements.
  4. Perform as bursar, including collecting all monthly occupancy fees, distributing PNA, maintaining petty cash and MetroCard accounts in accordance with program policies and regulatory standards.
  5. Maintain inventory, order and distribute all consumer supplies.
  6. Maintain updated consumer database, bed sheets, and room assignments.
  7. Ensure that all therapeutic activities are properly facilitated and begin and end in a timely fashion.
  8. Take a leadership role in crisis intervention and provide close observation and supervision of residents in crisis.
  9. Ensure adherence to the Client Screening policy & procedure and toxicology protocols.
  10. Attend all appropriate trainings, meetings and case conferences as determined by the Program Director.
  11. Conductand document monthly Fire and Opioid Overdose Rescue Drills.
  12. Provide and implements formal orientation plan to newly hired directly subordinate staff.
  13. Assure all directly subordinate staff members are adequately trained.
  14. Prepare all proposals and reports as needed.
  15. Provide direct supervision for subordinate staff as per Odyssey House policies.
  16. Prepare written annual evaluations on staff under his/her supervision.
  17. Lead quality management activities in collaboration with Program Director.
  18. Other relevant duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
  2. CASAC required.
  3. Two (2) years of experience working in a human service setting preferred with one (1) year of experience delivering supervision preferred.
  4. Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word, Excel, Electronic Health Record and Outlook programs).
  5. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  6. This position will require availability as needed including on call responsibilities.
