HVAC Project Manager

Parker-Arntz Plumbing & Heating, Inc is seeking a full-time project manager to oversee projects ranging from $250K to $5M throughout Michigan. The projects range from commercial buildings to large multi-family HVAC sheet metal and Hydronic Installations and new construction projects.

Location : Lansing, MI covering East and West Michigan.

Travel : Estimated 50% of the time spent in person at the office and 50% of the time visiting job sites and attending progress meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all tasks and milestones
• Coordinate with field team members, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure accurate project planning and execution
• Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial constraints
• Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project completion
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any potential issues or delays and implementing corrective actions as needed
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Proven experience in project management in the plumbing & HVAC field minimum of (5) years’ experience in plumbing & HVAC project management.
• The desire and capability to lead and manage team members with professionalism and support at all times.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling techniques and tools
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Familiarity with contract management principles and practices
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
• Practice and enforce company wide safety guidelines and regulations
