Are you ready to learn a valuable trade and build a rewarding career? McCrea Heating and Air is looking for driven individuals to join our team as HVAC Apprentices at our Pennsylvania Residential Replacements Office. No experience is necessary —we provide hands-on training to help you succeed!

Duties:

• Learn skilled installation techniques for a variety of HVAC systems including oil/gas furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, geothermal systems, air conditioners, air handling units, and water heaters.
• Gain knowledge and proficiency in working safely with refrigerant gases, fuel oils, natural gas, and propane.
• Acquire skills to work safely with various voltages of electricity, up to 480 volts 3 phase.
• Develop skills and knowledge in safely brazing with high-temperature torches using propane, acetylene, and oxygen.
• Develop knowledge of safe handling of high-pressure nitrogen and refrigerants.
• Learn to install ductless mini splits and various types of humidifiers including powered, bypass, and steam models.

Physical Requirements:

This is a hands-on role that requires:

• Working in confined spaces such as attics, basements, closets, and crawl spaces.
• Comfort and safety at elevated heights, including rooftops, ceilings, and ladders.
• Performing tasks in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
• Bending, crawling, stooping, stretching, reaching, and walking on uneven surfaces.
• Lifting up to 80 pounds safely.
