Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support a public health and social impact project focused on social services delivery and community wellness. This role will involve designing and delivering engaging training content that enables end-users to navigate a comprehensive case management/data entry system. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in healthcare, social impact, or government sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver a series of virtual or in-person training sessions for system end-users.
  • Create learning materials to support:
  • Participant look-up and enrollment
  • Completing assessments and entering services
  • Managing diverse case scenarios and inputting case notes
  • Running reports and scheduling appointments
  • Conduct at least 6 training sessions annually , ensuring consistency and accessibility for new and returning users.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, program managers, and system developers to ensure training aligns with current workflows and policies.
  • Utilize instructional design best practices, adult learning principles, and digital tools to enhance content delivery and learner engagement.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and gather feedback to improve future sessions.
  • Support knowledge management and documentation initiatives related to the platform and service model.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Instructional Designer or Learning & Development Specialist , preferably in public health, social services, or nonprofit settings.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
  • Experience developing training for data entry systems or case management platforms.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to tailor training content to a diverse range of users and learning needs.
  • Familiarity with eLearning development platforms is a plus.
