Job Description

Job Title: Instructional Designer

Job Type: W2 Contract (7 months)

Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm

Pay Rate: $30 – $40/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Instructional Designer to support the delivery of high-quality translated learning solutions. This role involves close collaboration with linguists, project managers, and media developers to ensure a smooth translation workflow, technical accuracy, and instructional integrity of multilingual content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with linguists and project managers to deliver fully translated learning materials
  • Integrate translated content across various technical formats and platforms
  • Analyze source files and source code to ensure effective translation workflow
  • Provide first-level technical support for translated learning solutions
  • Conduct testing to validate functionality and performance of translated content
  • Partner with instructional designers and media developers to establish best practices for translation workflows
  • Identify opportunities for improving tools, processes, and systems
  • Contribute to a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Multimedia Development, or equivalent field
  • Experience using e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate)
  • Proficiency with media development tools, especially Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Familiarity with XML and HTML

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with translation management systems
  • Background in machine translation with post-editing (MTPE)
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS)
  • Experience developing content for bidirectional languages
  • Bilingual skills (helpful but not required)

Tools & Technologies Experience (Preferred 2+ Years)

  1. Articulate Suite (Storyline, Rise)
  2. Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
  3. Translation Management Systems
  4. Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  5. XML & HTML – Beginner level proficiency
