Job Title: Investor Reporting Analyst
Location: Remote
CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking an Investor Reporting Analyst to support a leading mortgage servicing company on a seasonal contract . This is a remote opportunity for a financial professional with strong mortgage servicing knowledge and a background in investor remitting and reconciliation—especially with GSEs like Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae.
Responsibilities:
• Reconcile, report, and remit to GSE and private label investors for single-family residential mortgages
• Perform pool-to-security reconciliation, minimum P&I cash reconciliation, and expected cash analysis
• Prepare wire and GL entries and maintain monthly matrix status reports
• Balance scheduled/scheduled loan portfolios and ensure accurate monthly reporting and remittances
• Analyze cutoff activity in relation to remittance methodology and quantify/clear variances
• Process loan activity including payoffs, short sales, and other events, and remit funds accordingly
• Partner with internal teams and external investor representatives to resolve discrepancies
• Prepare remittance wires and manage advancing/refunding of corporate funds
• Set up and maintain investor headers and custodial accounts
• Ensure compliance with GSE guidelines, regulatory changes, and servicing agreements
• Collaborate with Compliance Analysts to keep policies aligned with regulatory publications
• Produce and maintain Key Risk and Key Performance Indicator reports
• Escalate any discrepancies or potential risks to management
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• 2+ years in Investor Reporting, GSE remitting, and reconciliation
• Experience in mortgage servicing and high-volume data entry
• Knowledge of FHLB reporting and experience with MSP software
• Familiarity with investor reporting requirements across a variety of scenarios (e.g., payoffs, repurchases, defaults, modifications, REO)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a managerial accounting mindset
• Ability to multitask in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and independent work ethic
Compensation and Benefits:
• Employment Type: Seasonal Contract
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours
• Location: REMOTE
• Salary: $28–$36 per hour
