Job Description

Our client in Huntington is looking for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal experienced in Medical Malpractice. 


Pay: 23.75-40.50 based on experience
Schedule- Mon-Fri - Does require some travel



Duties :
-Assist attorneys with case research, preparing legal documents and other tasks to assist in case resolution.
-MUST be available to travel when needed. Usually 3 days to a week when needed for a case.



General Accountabilities

• Organizes, enters and cross-references documents in a computerized database.
• Obtains, assembles and organizes documents pertinent to litigation or other types of cases.
• Prepares legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statement.
• Investigate facts and law of cases and search pertinent sources, such as public records and internet sources.
• Meet with clients and other professionals to discuss details of the matter.
• File pleadings with the court clerk.
• Assists attorneys in carrying out special projects as assigned.

• MUST have medical malpractice litigation experience
• Education: Associate degree
• Experience: 1-2 years of related experience
